[Snow isn't half concerned with messing around, sending text messages. Instead, she gets the video function working.]

Red! [If the look of relief isn't obvious, the tone should be.] I'm so glad to see you. Well, not that you've been dragged here too, but... [She shakes her head, with a small laugh.]

I only just got here, so I can't really help.

Snow! Oh my god, Snow! Is this where you went, instead of back home? David's been so worried.

[Wait. Something temporarily more important.]

How did you get it to do that?

No, this is... well, Emma and I went to... oh, it's a long story, but I'll explain later.

[She pauses for a moment.] How is he? And Henry?

[Blink.] Oh! Oh, it's in the menu. It took me a little while to figure it out. You choose "video".

a couple minutes and a switch to video later

[Her face appears onscreen and she is both relieved and worried.] They're alright. David and Henry are staying in your apartment for now. Regina's actually respecting Henry's wishes and not trying to force him to stay with her. David's taken over as sheriff until Emma gets back.

They miss you like crazy. We all have.

Good. Good, that's... [A small laugh.] That's good. I think Emma is safe, for now, with some... friends we made.

We've missed you too. So much. [She fidgets a bit, then gets up.] I'll come and meet you.

[Red chuckles softly at all the 'goods'. Her eyebrows go up at the mention of new people.] Friends? There's still people in the kingdom? I thought it was destroyed.

[A beat and she nods.] I'm outside the station. It's a little chilly so...wear a jacket.

Oh, it's a long story. [She sighs a little bit.] When we arrived, we found a sort of... survivors camp. It was people from places the Curse didn't reach. I didn't think that was possible, but apparently it is. We went back to the castle and... [Snow's gaze drops and she swallows a knot in her throat.]

Either way, Emma is safe with Mulan and Aurora, I think. Things will be okay.

[whosafraidofme]

[Survivors. Oh god. Her eyebrows furrow when Snow looks down and looks so sad.] As long as she's save, that's good.

How long have you been here, Snow?

[alwaysfindshim]

Yeah... yes, you're right.

[She shrugs a bit.] Half a day, if that. I'm not sure. It's... only been a few hours.

[But it isn't long before she's at the station, she hadn't gotten that far from it to be honest, and she has on the coat that Ruby insisted she wear. She had to buy one when she got here. Still, the moment she sees Red, she rushes over, and hugs her tightly.

We'll get home, Snow. And you and Emma will come back to Storybrooke. I promise.

[She sees Snow and runs to meet her halfway, throwing her arms around her best friend and hugging her tightly.] It's so good to see you Snow.

I know we will. We'll all be okay. We have to be.

[She chuckles softly and squeezes Red with a gentle sigh.] This is probably very selfish of me, but I'm so glad you're here.

And you and Charming and Emma and Henry can live in a nice house. You'll have family dinners on Sunday and you'll invite me, of course. [Ruby chuckles softly at that, tightening her hold on Snow. Yeah, okay, it's cold and Snow is warm.]

Then it's selfish of me, too. I'd probably tear my hair out if you weren't here.

[alwaysfindshim]

I think... it might be a little early for that. Emma is still upset. She's getting used to the idea of having parents... but yes, yes, we'll invite you and Granny for dinners on Sunday.

[She makes a soft noise and buries her face against Red for a moment.] We'll be okay then. We've got each other.

Emma'll adjust. It might take a little time, but...you're her parents. She'd be crazy to not stay with you and David.

[That noise breaks Red's heart a little and her arms tremble for a moment.] We do. I'll look out for you and you watch my back. We can handle this.

[alwaysfindshim]

I think she'll get used to it soon. She's just always been on her own. It... it's something we're working on. Or... we were. Oh, Red, we went to the castle and... and we looked for the wardrobe in Emma's nursery.

[She takes a shaking breath, because she's sure Ruby knows exactly what that means, but she stops herself from getting too upset and takes hold of Red's arm, looping it around her own.] Come on, we need to find your apartment.

Oh, Snow. I can't imagine how that was. [She tightens her hold on her friend, rubbing her back gently.

Red doesn't let go of Snow. Not until she absolutely has to. She nods as she falls into step beside her best friend. She pulls the key from her pocket, looking at the room number tag hanging from it.] Says B-602.
