If it's Saturday...

...then it means that I've been off doing things. I used to be so non-productive on the weekends...but lately for some reason, I've been able to get things done. Is this what they call 'growing up???'

So far today:

Went to Macy*s and looked around there for a while. They were supposed to have good deals on 'bed-in-a-bag' today, but I didn't find anything I really liked there for the prices that they had. (I was on Bed Bath and Beyond's website yesterday and saw a really good one over there.) The only thing I got at Macy*s was a bath-'sheet'...which is a really really big towl. I really needed a new one...the one that I have now is like, 5 years old and been through the washer more times than I can even count! (Cause it's the only one I'll use...) Again, I should have waited till I got over to BB&B because the bath-sheets were a little cheaper over there. I'm going to be scum and return the one to Macy*s and use my other 20% off coupon...so it's going to be even cheaper.

Once I left Macy*s it was time to go to Bed Bath and Beyond. I was on their website last night and found a 'bed-in-a-bag' that I liked and with the 20% off coupon, it was $80 instead of $100. Nice difference. While I was there, I also got some scented tea-lights. (yeah...like I need more of them...)

Then it was off to Boscov's where I returned the sheet set that I bought the other day...not only was it jersey knit, but it was for a king sized bed and I've got a queen...so it was a little too big for my bed. No problems there.

Then on the final leg home, I stopped at the car wash...me and just about everyone else from the area. My car was severely in need of a washing and vaccumming. I wasn't planning on vaccumming the car out, but while I was there, it only made sense. I wasn't going to drive around with a clean outside and a filthy inside. I think I had about a month's worth of Sunday news papers in my back seat...but at least they're finally outta there.

Something that I've been meaning to do was put up a flag. It's taken me forever to do it, but it's finally done. I got the flag and a flag holder. I have wooden window frames in the front of my apartment...so the colors are now flying high and proud outside my domicile. Makes me feel even prouder. It's a shame that I really don't know how to put pictures in my LJ...cause I went out and took some snapshots of the flag...I would post them, but, eh.

Now it's off to the bedroom to get that bed-in-a-bag on my bed. I'm actually kinda excited...I think it's going to look really good. Something else I would post a picture of...maybe I should look into figuring out how to do that...
