What would you do with a time machine?
I won't lie to any of you...I really hate my life. And not in one of those over dramatic angsty teenage "ohmygodmylifesucks" kind of ways. I mean I actually hate it.
There are so many times I wish that I could get into a time machine and go back 5 years. Or even all the way back to highschool. There's a few options there.
Highschool? I could have gone to Norwich Tech for computer science where the coach wanted me for track and I could have gotten a jump start on a degree. Hell, I probably could have gotten a track scholarship!!!
5 years ago? I would have still had the amazing experiences I did at Griswold with orchestra/choir/theater and picked different colleges and a degree. I would have DEMANDED my useless adviser helped me find colleges and scholarships. I wouldn't have been the dow-eyed school girl who wanted to help people. I would have gone into something USEFUL that would get me a REAL JOB.
Hell, I'd even take for going back 2 or 3 years ago. I would have told Jon to fuck off. I wouldn't have been depressed. I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO ECSU!!!! And even if I had stayed with going to ECSU I WOULD NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES let that bitch lady adviser person change me to sociology! I HATE MY FUCKING MAJOR! I would have stayed psych (if that was the choice I even made).
I have a pocket-full of regrets and there's not a damn thing I can do about them. Except hate my life every single fucking day that I am living it. Sociology will literally get me nowhere. I will have to either get another degree (at another school) or go to grad school for something else all together.
I feel like my life has been completely fucked over and over and over again. And I don't know what I can do about it. I hate that when you're 18 or 19 you are forced to choose a major that will decide your life. You don't know what you want when you're 18!! You're stupid and think you want to help people. Then you grow up, see the world for what it really is, decide you hate the majority of the human populace and dont give a shit about them.
