What a weekend!
This weekend was busy but amazing. Sandwiched between Day on Campus and a visit from Mandy, Phyllis, Richard and their families... I reluctantly packed a bag and headed off to do some camping.
Ok, stop laughing... I know that I am not exactly the camping type, and quite frankly, I did my share of complaining before we left. However, my ZTA girls piled into cars and headed out for our retreat, prepared to sleep on the ground with the dirt and bugs. After a long 45 min drive filled with Amy's "are we there yet?" questions and Meg's screaming out the window at scary looking guys, we finally arrived. At this point, I was still a little unsure about this retreat. After we set up the tesnts and did a lil exploring things started looking up.
After just a really long week and struggling internally with a lot on my plate, it was amazing to sit around with many of my favorite girls and laugh and cry and really talk about what's going on with us. Some time last year I began praying for a strong friendship here on campus, and I am finally starting to really bond with a lot of these girls.
Anyways, now I am back to real life and, though I will probably not ever choose to vacation in the woods, I still can say I had a really great time.
