A couple weeks ago David and Barbara moved into the new house they bought outside Fort Lewis. David was told that he didn't have to go to Iraq.
Then they switched him to a different company. Now he is going to Iraq for a year.
When Barbara told me I got very upset. She's not happy about it either, but David says it is a really great opportunity even though it will suck. He'll get work experience with technology that most people don't get the chance to use or learn about. And he'll be in a command position, so it's good management experience. whatever.
So i guess this means a trip to Washington state sometime in September, since I won't see him for a year.
