So here's an update for everyone who is interested. Though I should start from the beginning for those who don't know what happened.
Wednesday morning I woke up with severe stomach pains. I went to my wellness center but the nurse practitioner wasn't sure what was wrong so she called a doctor and he said I had to go to the hospital. So the school paid for a cab to bring me to the hospital.
So I go to the emergency room and have a bunch of tests done. First they tell me my white blood cell count was extremely high. Then they tell me that my gall bladder has to come out and it has to come out the very next day because it was killing me. So I was admitted and got prepared for surgery for the very next day.
Thursday morning I go into surgery. When I get to the O.R. I start to cry because I was nervous and this whole time I had been alone because my dad couldn't get to the hospital. So yeah they put me to sleep and a few hours later I wake up and it was the worst thing in the world.
I couldn't see anything, I had no clue where I was, I was in excruciating pain and they kept shoving a damn oxygen mask on my face. So eventually I came through and understood where I was and why I was in so much pain an.....
I ended up going home the day after the surgery however before I left I met with the surgeon and he told me that my surgery was much more complicated than he would have liked and there were four reasons why.
1. My size
2. My gallbladder was highly inflamed
3. I had about 200 gallstones
4. I was born with my gallbladder embedded into my liver
But luckily they were able to do the surgery with the scope and I am now back at school but I got to take it real easy and I meet with the surgeon again on Tuesday. So yeah, my life took an unexpected turn last week. But I'm feeling a little better.
