Well, I guess it's about time for an update! It's been awhile. Life has been pretty decent lately. I feel like I've finally gotten my life in order. And that's a good thing! Notice all the exclamation points I'm using! Since when have I been using exclamation points??!! Well, lately I haven't been able to help myself!
Months and months ago I did a picture post of my apartment when Adam and I first moved in. As most of you know, Adam and I are no longer together and he moved out in early September. So....if anyone is in need of a roommate, I know this great apartment..! I've been working little by little to make it my own. I really hope to get a job in Eau Claire once I graduate so I can stay here. This apartment feels like home to me now. I decided to do another picture post of the place now that Adam's gone so you can see how it's changed. I don't have pictures of the bedrooms yet, I still need to do a bit more organizing in those.
This is the front door, obviously. It leads right into my kitchen.
Here we have the sink, stove, and pantry. The pantry really comes in handy since there's minimal cupboard space in this apartment.
Figures, the only really clear shot my camera took, was this boring one of the stove. At night I like to simmer a pot full of orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and allspice. It makes my apartment smell like christmas. And it really helps with the dryness in winter.
Remember this? I made this counter top over the summer with my old friend Karen. I'm insanely proud of it. I also made the microwave cart skirt. I have a feeling my landlord would flip if he ever saw the counter (and all the holes I put in the wall!). Don't be fooled by the bowl of oranges. Underneath those are about a trillion pixie sticks left over from halloween. I'm so unhealthy.
Down the hall from the kitchen is the bathroom. It's kind of small, so you can't see too much. But a bathroom is a bathroom, right?
This is part of the living room. One day I won't be lazy and I'll move the cord from the TV away from the back of the shelf like that. Notice the classy blackboard! It comes in handy for writing myself notes. When you live alone, sometimes the only social contact you get is yourself!
Another view of the living room. Plenty of seating for all those huge parties I throw!
Here's a view of behind the couch. The shelves are just $10 cheap things I got at Farm n' Fleet, the plant is barely still alive, the glass jars once held coins..until I fell on hard times, and my yarn collection is overtaking those crates.
So that's the grand tour. Perhaps soon I'll get unlazy and show you the bedrooms. Maybe.
