AHHHH calculus...

so basically i'm screwed for calculus since the AP test is on tuesday and i JUST started studying today... there's NO way that i can get better than a 2 unless purely by amazing luck... oh well, i wanted to take this class over again in college anyway. BUT at least my AP book is amusing...

"The television show The Simpsons used this concept of differentiation in the episode where Bart cheats his way into a school for smart kids. The teacher asks the students to determine what is funny about the derivative of r^3/r. The derivative is (technically) r^2dr, or r*dr*r (hardy-har-har). In this problem, dr is the derivative of r because ro respecting variable was defined. Had the teacher asked for the derivative f r^3/r with respect to r, the joke would have been less funy, since that derivative is r^2."

haha i'm not sure if that only makes sense if you're in calculus.... but the next example in the book was written after the author had surgery... and is really gross, but hilarious that it was put in here to help me....

"Example 3: The nightmare has come to pass. All of Kelley's extensive surgeries and nasal passage scrapings have (unfortunately) gone awry, and he sits in the ear, nose, and throat doctor's office waiting are spewing bloody nose drippings into a conical paper cup at the rate of 2.5 in^3/min. The cup is being held with the vertex down and has a height of 4 inches and a base of 3 inches. How fast is the mucous level rising in the cup when the "liquid" is 2 inches deep?"

i feel like i picked a AP book similar to jill's last year for APUSH, but at least this one doesn't include a practice question of "Did people back then have feelings like they do today?" (yes an ACTUAL question)ohhhh welll, so i'm screwed..... at least it's over tuesday and i'm almost POSITIVE i will be able to pass the psych test EASILY...
