Slightly more substance

Dec 21, 2006 12:06

Okay, this may be an entry with slightly more substance than the last one. I felt too rushed and didn't like what I wrote. Anyways, obviously it has been busy and I must admit-I dont like it. I've always been a big fan of leisurely paces. Now, I say this and my husband or friends would scoff considering that I am impatient as they come. What I mean is that if I don't feel like doing something or it isn't something that I planned and wanted to do, then I feel it should be able to be compeleted in my own good time. Apparently the rest of the world does not agree on this count.

Jake and I volunteered to watch our friends children while they went Christmas shopping and I'll say it-it was fun! The kids are great and had us laughing. I, of course, let them stay up as late as they pleased and we all settled on the couch around 9 or so to watch Sponge Bob. No problem. I found myself utterly charmed by their 3 year old who needed to rest against me! He also informed me that if you are bad you get coal and poop in your stocking. I love this kid.

Not much news otherwise, just a bunch of running around that doesn't really seem to have to do with holidays. I hate when people are like, "these holiday have me so busy." Actually-life has me busy! My last final is tonight and I can't wait for it to be over. I just have to sit down and take it and then I will be able to breathe just a little more easily.

Tomorrow is the final shopping blitz, though my dad called last night and asked me to shop for my 18 year-old brother. So I have a feeling that Saturday may turn into running across town to shop at the mall that houses my brother's favorite stores and perhaps having a little coffee on dad's dime. I think I would deserve at least that.

Oh well, I hope everyone has a holiday full of fun!
