Potluck

So today is that company potluck I had mentioned weeks ago. SOme of you offered some great ideas as to what I should bring. The only problem is that I totally forgot about it until last night around 8pm. Needless to say, cooking was no longer an option. This morning I had to get to work early anyways, so I left super early and stopped at 7-11 and bought several two-liters and some chips. That was my contribution. And dont think I'm not hijacking any leftover stuff that I brought and taking it home or at least to my cubicle.

I would have liked to participate in the community lunch that they set up. They set up extra tables with tablecloths and stuff so everyone could eat together. Everyone but me. I answer the phones and the girl who does backup for me is eating with everyone else. I actually dont' mind all that much but considering that to them I probably appear antisocial doesnt' help my cause of making work friends. oh well, I can update in peace then!

Today was one of the few days, if not the only day, of the year that we could wear jeans. I was excited but was too lazy to get up this morning to get ready. Because I didn't take the time to wash and blow dry my hair, a scarf was my only option to tame the wild bedhead. Unfortunately the only scarf I could find at 6:30 this morning was a blue and white polka dot pattern. I love it but it limits me as to what I can wear with it. Considering that I mostly have black clothing I have to cross that off my list and debate what few options are left in my closet. I had to settle on a white t-shirt. I wasted my only 'jean' day by wearing a white t-shirt! I thought I would be able to impart some more of my personality in the outfit today. well, i suppose the normal wardrobe of black could convey that just as easily.

Hmm, everyone is still in the lunch room but I want to go in and look for deserts! Sure, sure I could go in and look now but then I couldn't be a desert whore!

Dare i say it? Tonight is gearing up to be a potential lazy night!!!! I always type it and then immediately squash my chances for it, but I will try my hardest to see it come to fruition.

That home decor store we went to the other day is still haunting me. I really want to go and get this other end table that I loved. It was only 89.00 bucks and isn't really a bad price at all for a end table. It looked like a serving tray but jazzed up. I will try to appeal to my husband to let me go and get it, but I know better. Bills are more of a priority even if I don't want to admit it. Just so you all know what store I am speaking so highly of-it is called "Leon and Lulu' and is on 14 mile in Clawson right near our dear friends Steve and Joy. Joy may see me even more often if I want a reason to stop by that store. I kid, I kid! Here is the link just to prove to you all how cute this place is!

Okay, done for today...maybe.
