So the concert was Tuesday and may I say it was totally awesome!! We picked up Julia and arrived at the theatre at bout 6:30 which is when they're supposed to open the doors. But ofcourse, there was a line friggin down the block that the security guy said we had to wait in. So we walk alllll the way down to the end stand for a couple seconds and the lines begins filing into the door. We were pissed. Anyways, there was a couple guys with a big camera and microphone which I'm guessing they were using to film one of those dvd things. He totally filmed me and Julia as we walked in so it was exciting. So we find our seats which really weren't all that bad. They were in the balcony but only like three rows up so it was perfect. Plus we had binoculars which allowed you to see everything! Had Kelly Clarkson had a zit, we would have known about it. We had decided to wait and buy stuff after since that line was terribly long too but I just haddd to have a poster, cause I was scared they would sell out, so we went back down and got one. Soon after the opening band comes out and starts playin. They're called Graham Colton and at first I'm just like ughhh I hate opening bands!! But they were soo awesome! But more about them later. Now Kelly comes out and she just looks gorgeous and the whole stage is set up like in a genie theme and it looks soo pretty. Needless to say the entire concert was just so great, except for the little girl screaming in my ear during all the soft slow songs which made me veryy angry. Oh, and she sang this one new song called "don't" and I'm totally in love with it. So the concert ends and we walk back downstairs. Me and Julia both bought Graham Colton's cd and then I got a t-shirt and she got a wristband. Then we're walking out the door and one of the security guys tells us Graham Colton's signing stuff down the street and around the corner. Me and Julia started running obviously!! We saw them all standing there with all these people around them. We waited our turn and got all their signatures on our cds and got a pic with Graham Colton since he was the hawtest and it was his band. And I feel the need to record the dialogue:
Me and Julia standing in line (me in a tshirt and her in capris):Gawd it's soo colldddd!!
-walk up to them-
Me: can we get a picture?
Graham Colton: ya lemme try and keep you guys warm for a couple seconds.
-Me and Julia die-
So ya, we're all happy and then my dad's like "I think there's another group of people down the street." And some security guys like "They're waiting for Kelly." So, again, we begin jogging down the street and join the already rather large group of people squeezing onto a not so large sidewalk. We were so excited and actually pretty warm considering the amount of body heat being generated by all these screaming people. To make a long story short we waited for nearlt and hour and a half in the middle of the night in downtown Detroit. Yes I know we're insane. But we did make friends with the two girls next to us. They were really nice. Anways, Kelly finally comes out after having her secuirty guard inform us we couldn't take any pictures which everyone wa pretty upset about. I'm still not sure as to why we couldn't but I have my theories. So ya, she comes out and I patiently wait to get up to the front of the pack, which at this point had dwindled down to about 15 of us. I get up there and ask her to sign my poster and she says:
"Wow, you're good. You have it all positioned and everything!"
Keep in mind I had an hour and a half so I had rolled my poster like perfectly so she would sign it in the right spot. I don't think I really said anything after that cause I was like in shock but at some point I said "Can I have a hug?" and she's like "Sure!". She was just so nice and down to earth it was crazy. So then Julia went up and got her ticket signed and got a hug too. We stayed a little longer cause there was this gay guy waiting with us and he was hilarious! He had to show Kelly his shirt he made with her on it and then he was talking to her about how much he liked her new hair color. I was laughing so hard! Yes, so that's my fun adventure! She's pretty much the only famous person I've really met. Well, there is John Kerry, but we musn't talk about that right now. -goes off and cries-
Ok sry bout that. So I'll type up about the drama Ann Arbor trip later. And sorry bout these down black lines, I'll figure out how to get rid of them eventually i hope. Ok well, bye for now.
