My thoughts on Terri Schiavo

First I have to say I find the entire situation very sad for the husband and her family. Although I disagree with what her husband did and how he went about doing it, I can understand why he felt he needed to. But the point of the matter is the actions Bush took. There are many sad stories just like this one happening all over the country. The government cannot be getting involved with people's personal matters like this. Her parents went to court and lost over and over again, end of story. Bush is using this for political purposes only and I think that's what people don't get. When Bush was governor he signed a law that allowed hospitals to pull the plug on anyone, even against the parents wishes. That law was used just a few days ago to end the life of a six month old boy even though his parents did not want that to happen. And that law allows hospitals to take into consideration a patients ability to pay. To quote Jon Stewart, AAAHHHH! What I'm trying to get across is that I find it ridiculous that people are going out and protesting and sending children with water bottles to break through security. There are much bigger problems going on in this country today. -shrugs- but whatever. Anyways, RIP Terri.
