*steps around the crumb infested area that was once livejournal*
man, have ive been gone that long?
*cleans up monitor and everything else around*
as the lound sound of indian hip-hop is blasting from a nearby car just infront of where i am sleeping, i realize how much I've been away from queens since starting work in the big city.
lemme first say that, first and foremost, that i would like to thank al those that have stuck by me and wished me luck in this endevour from the begining to it, to it's final glory.....
by glory i mean, i got the job and moved to work in the big city...union square to be exact, pretty much right across the street from a wallgreens (or issit rite aid...dunoo at the moment) this little hole in the wall store that, to say the last, was run like a hole in the wall until me and my boss were moved there.
apparently these people were rude to the customers and hardly helped with their purchases to the point that some were shocked with how me and my boss treated them....it was a surprised to all of em, heck, even some told us so.
they told us that we were a breath of fresh air to that place.
it was weird of the storries they told us and never eased off from the compliments they would throw at us.
...it's kewl
and the customers are all nice (not like those greedy, angry, rude assholes in kew gardens)
but boy is that store always busy...not a moments rest to do the work were supposed to be doing, but that's because the people before us hardly did any work to begin with, so it's like we're doing their work aswell because of their lazy mindsets..
but luckly they'll get fired and i'll GRIND THEIR BONES AND TURN IT INTO BREAD!!!
everything's just been a re-adjusting period in my end ....considering i never worked in the big city...always a local boy, so getting used to the difference in the way customers react to you, and hw different the busyness is comparing it to working in queens and working in manhattan...
just more busy working in the city
not to mention the commute getting there....can't just walk to work, i have to take the train now.
aside from that, this is the only free time i have, so i'd thought id tell you guys what's the heads up on my personal affairs.
i was awoken last night with cires from my mother...she had immense stomach pains, she was tearing up...she was feeling, to what she could only comment as death.
i gave her some medicine, gave her water and made her some tea..
did'nt sleep till 3:30 in the morning that night.
from what i hear, it's a kidney stone or something.....and that she has to have surgery to remove it, because peeing that sucker is not the best opinon right now.
now as i tipe, my brother is crying, because one of his friends from his high school has passed away from a motorcycle accident at 4:30 a.m
my mom replyes "that's how life is" as she consoles his head across her shoulder.
yeah it is.....you dont know what happens when you leave the house
just gotta do whatever you can before your time is gone.
i gotta go
can't stay
i'll see what i can do
but i cannever promise much
