[Alena]: One does not simply make a reference to LoTR
Soo.. Mom and I wanted to watch a movie. After quite a bit of searching for something, I finally found the LoTR trilogy and we decided to watch the first part today.. because my mom keeps confusing Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter. Yes.
She does know what the stories are about, but she doesn't remember, for example, where specific scenes are from.
Mom: 'Is Lord of The Rings the one with a white unicorn?'
Me: 'Wh.. What?'
Anyhow, once we were done with the movie, we went to get food and asked my grandmother, mom's mother, to join us.
Grandma: 'I keep hearing noises around the house' Mom: 'Mom, I told you that *names* are fixing the roof!'
Grandma: 'You mean that those complete strangers are wandering around the house?!'
Mom: 'Well, the do need to use the ladder upstairs to get to the roof, you know.'
Grandma: 'But what if they walk into a room and steal something!'
Me: 'Grandma, we know those people, they wouldn't st-'
Grandma: 'You've got jewelry all over the place! All those rings!'
Mom: 'Yes, I'm a lord of the rings!'
Me: Yes, and your room is, in fact, Mordor! *I start dying*
Mom: 'Stop being silly, mom, the doors to bedrooms are closed and I don't just randomly throw stuff around'
Conclusion: my mom is awesome.
P.S.: Apparently, Josh Holloway would make a good Boromir XD
