Good Week
I'm relatively pleased with myself this week. This afternoon I finished studying the Minor Arcana, and feel that I've absorbed most of it. I still need to regularly refresh my memory, but I'm finding that most of what I have learned is sticking. The next task I need to do is cast myself a Celtic Cross spread using all the Minor Arcana, as opposed to a small spread using just one suit. Once I've got that down pat, I move onto the Major Arcana. For me, the Majors have always been quite easy. The symbolism is clear, and the "speak" very loudly to me, in general. I'm happy with the rate I'm achieving this.
I've also managed to get a bit more prep work for my Star Trek game. I am enjoying this prep work, and I am tentatively looking forward to running it. Still nervous and tense, but we'll see how we go.
In similar news, I've been helping Jyan with his Age of Aquarius rules. This is a simple system hat Jyan came up with some time ago to use for running freeforms. He voiced to me a desire to adapt the rules to table top playing while still keeping them simple and easy for freeforming. I've happily pitched in, though I have been careful of his feelings, as this is his baby and he is understandably sensitive about it. I am enjoying working with Jyan on this game design. His system is already very good, and I'm sure together we will come up with a great system.
Apart from that, I've done a tad of drawing, and hope to do a bit of inking tomorrow after I get back from my therapist.
Life is pretty darned good, and my husbear just makes it better. He will be home from work soon, and I can't wait to see him.
