It Never Rains...
Yesterday my sister had a biopsy taken of the tumor in her lungs. It didn't go very well, as both her lungs collapsed and for a while there was a chance that we were going to lose her. She has pulled through though, and she should be going home today.
Further tests have shown that she also has several tumors on her spine, and a rather big one on her heart. None of these can be removed safely, and in fact removing the one on her heart would be fatal.
It seems that the news regarding this cancer just gets worse and worse. We're hoping that the one on her lung, the primary tumor, is only at stage one or two, as chemotherapy will then be effective at reducing it and increasing her life span, if not... well, we'll have to face that when we find out next Tuesday.
