Summer

So, I don't remember what I last wrote here, and I'm too lazy to look. However, while I try to remember other things to update, I will say that the big thing that I'm looking forward to at work happens tomorrow: the machine that checks in the books AS they're returned indtead of having to take a cart of them to check in after they're returned should be up and running at the local library tomorrow, along with the conveyor belt that takes those books after they've been checked in and does a rough sort of them into different bins right away! I am terribly excited - it should make my job a bit easier, eventually. Right now everything is entirely chaotic and more than a bit insane, with everything getting moved around and procedures getting rethought out and changed often. Even better, the rest of this week with the machine up and running will probably mean that our supervisors will be hovering around us even more than usual, which is probably going to be entirely annoying, but I'll put up with it. Hopefully, I won't even notice it because I'll be having too much fun with the new machines.

Most of my friends think I'm weird because I'm not clammoring to go to Summerfest this week. I'm not a concert person, and I'm not terribly enthused about being around more drunks than I normally see in a tear ... instead, I just bought tickets to the Wisconsin State Fair - that I'll go to. It's much more fun, and there's more to do than just sit and listen to music. Plus, there's the flavored milk ... yum, root beet milk!!

I've been wasting my summer away with DVDs and movies so far :) Besides going through my entire extensive collection and organizing it and putting them all into their own containers, I've also been renting many movies and occasionally seeing movies in the theaters ... it's been a movie summer.
