School Days, School Days

OK, so I'm hoping that eventually I'll get back into the practice of actually spending a lot of the weekend on catching up on reading for my classes, but so far that hasn't really happened. I bought the Lost DVDs on Wednesday, so I spend much of the time slipping through all the extra features and commentaries for the episodes, although I'm keeping last season's finale to rewatch next weekend in order to refresh my memory for the premiere that Wednesday. My sister also found a really good deal on ebay for an iPod, so I finally bought myself that - very excited about it.
Started planning for the 6th grade religion classes that I teach, as the first one is this coming Sunday, but that is remaining difficult at the moment because the entire structure that normally supports the classes in terms of people at church was fired (or at least let go over the summer, so it's up to all of us volunteer teachers to figure it out, so the registration forms went out considerably late, and I really have no idea how many students I'll have.
On Friday, we had our first informational meeting about student teaching next semester, and I can honestly say I'm more than a little scared to do this part . . . I'm still not entirely sure teaching is for me, because the responsibility inherent in teaching all of those kids still seems to overwhelm me. Plus, I have a little problem in terms of what classes I still need to finish, which isn't going to make the process of signing up for student teaching smooth - I expect to be yelled at a bit. Never fun.
Anyway, I still have to finish a lesson plan for my education class at 2:30, so I better get back to it.
