so heeeeeere's riley.
it's wednesday... tommorrow is thanksgiving!!!
i left friday for all you peoples who are wondering what happened to riley, or for all of you who just didn't care, i'm telling you anyway, i'm in montGOMEREY!!! (alabama, that is) So far we've been to the Alabama Shakespeare theatre and seen Charles Dickens: A Christmas Carol, it was AWESOME!!! I love theatre productions.
We've also been to my grandparent's church, and i saw my cousin, Mary Heath, who i haven't seen in years and her new husband. i also saw my cousin Josh who's in his twentttties and i saw my aunt. so much love, there was. While I've been here i've bought a preeeety pimped out leather coat that was on SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER sale, for like thirty five bucks, so we were like "all over that"
and we were at wal-mart, and we were checking out, and i was "cramping my mama's style" i guess and she said (in front of the african american very nice cashier lady), "you gettin' in my grill???" and i freaked out because moms aren't supposed to speak like that, and the cashier said: "Ohhh, you ain't been a-expectin' that! Yo' mama got all hip-hop on you!" and she was dying laughing... and so was my mom... and i was just................ standing there thinking.....
my mom just said "you getting in my grill??"!!!
i hope everything is going jolly back in Houston, i miss ya'll (still talking in Texan, i am) and although i'm having a wonderfulawesomeicious time, i can't wait to see my homies at home! (cause that's where the homies are.)
I already told you this, Taylor, but i had a dream a few nights ago that you got engaged to some wierdo and you were crying alot. and Allison, I didn't buy my video ipod yet, i'm still short fifty dollas. hoping to get that monday! Zach, I've written two new songs and expanded flood with a superfied guitar solo in the middle. Molly, if I have a strange dream or something that reminds me of you, I will add it to this!!! :o]
Through the reading of my bible lately, I've uncovered some downright interesting stuff, especially, (ironically) near exactly what Taylor was describing as her favorite quote........
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
[b] or a single cubit to his height
And God reveals himself in amazing ways, and not only himself, but his plans, his ways, all through the relationship we have with Him. As this life is worldly, material, God is eternal, and he is not affected by any of our needs, for he is not mortal, not material, the essence of God is indestructible, eternal, everlasting, the meaning of everlasting love.
And God, someone who is all knowing and unnaffected by this world, knows all of our transgressions, all of our worries, ALL of the things that we worry about. And he tells us one simple thing: Do not worry. It's difficult, it's tough, it can be painful, but if God says something to do, it is to be done. For (and I quote), "26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
vegging out in bama and wishing you were here,
