Yay! Master's Degree

Done with classes.

Again.

Although, there is something sort of awkward about getting an e-mail from your professor about how "you write really well, but it looks like you wrote this in one sitting...but I'm giving you an A for the class." I have hated all of the class-classes of this program, but I genuinely enjoyed teaching 6th grade. In short, I'm done with being told what to do, and am ready to go do it my goddamn self.

Now, finding a job is a whole other kettle of fish.

There are currently 12 social studies or English middle school positions in the entire state. I applied for the English one nearest to me, but the others are too far from where Andrew is stuck doing physics PHD stuff for me to wander off to. I did also apply for an adjunct history professor job at a local community college, but I haven't heard anything for that yet either.

I also know that, as far as teaching positions go, that it is still quite early in the game. Many school districts don't even begin hiring until the end of June or even into July and August. Money issues being what they are, it is likely that not much will come up anyway. But I continue to check.

Anyway, I just needed to rant a little.
