If less paperwork were involved, a hell of a lot more would get done. While thinking about and mapping out the progress of what you do is totally acceptable, having specific forms for approval and editing is absolutely ridiculous. Particularly when they're 3 page documents to show thought of a 20-30 page document not due for another seven months.
I've said it before and I'll say it again--more and more, I'm being convinced that college has been a complete waste of my time. All I have learned is how to appease history geeks with no social skills, and how to pull papers out of my ass for them.
Don't waste my fucking time.
In related news, it would appear that I'll be spending most of my time over what little holiday break I have at libraries and archives.
