When I receive the blessing I've got coming...

My, it's been quite some time since I updated this. I keep meaning to, but first one thing's going on, and then another, and then the other times I'm just pretty damn lazy and/or exhausted. I've been here for just a bit over a month at this point, and things are going pretty well. My classes (with the exception of Japanese, which I loathe with an unholy passion) are almost uniformly interesting and taught by pretty cool professors. I've pretty much gotten used to getting up at 7:00 to ride the train to school, although I overslept a bit today accidentally. Of course it had to be on the one day when it was important to be in class, what with the quiz worth about 10% of the grade being given at the beginning and all. Luckily, my hustle was adequate and I made it to class with a few minutes to spare.

Golden week (the only week we get off from school for the entire semester) was pretty excellent, despite some mishaps that wasted a lot of time on our friday trip to Nikko. The trip to Hakone went much smoother. Me and one of the other exchange students visited the Picasso Outdoor Sculpture Museum, and it was definitely one of the most coolest museums I've ever been to. I'll definitely have to go back there, since we found out after leaving that we had missed a large part of it due in large part to the fact that we had spent too long at Odawara castle on the way to Hakone, and had to rush everything after that to make sure we made it to the last train home on time.

I've been taking lots of pictures (up to about 600 total now) but I still have lots more I want to cover. I'm planning on doing some night photography in downtown Tokyo soon, I just need to stop being lazy and scout out locations first. Maybe I'll be able to do that this weekend.

Here's some of my favorite pictures so far.

Here's some pictures of GAIJIN WEARING KIMONOS!

We were also on tv! The camera crew were some cool dudes.
