hey i just wanted to let you know i finished the hunger games, the first one and the only book i brought with me!, and i really enjoyed it! i should have read it forever ago when you first suggested it.
i plan to! since i finished the first one on vacation i've had to wait. and then my plane home got delayed and the english selection in the airport was pretty limited so i got Twilight (which i know you also love), so i'm reading that for now. after i finish it (which will probably be in the next few days) i'm going to get catching fire and mockingjay
Twilight is not that well written, her other book The Host is better, but Twilight grew on me over time. It's really the world and the characters I love. I wasn't sold until I started the second book.
i'll have to read the rest of the series then. i'm not really loving twilight at the moment. and i wonder why, in all i've heard about these books, no one ever told me that edward can read minds. it would have been the one thing that could have sold me on this.
part of it may be that i've read so much in one sitting but the descriptions are kind of repetitive. there is only so much i can read about edward's perfect, god-like face. there is just nothing grabbing me about these characters. and i get annoyed every time bella says "i probably should have been scared but it was cool~"
that said, the most interesting this so far has been the other vampires. this at least has made me feel for the characters. i believe bella is scared and i believe the others are all really trying to protect her and it's definitely caused me some stake in the book. it's just a shame it was soooo late into it.

And yeah, you like that he can read minds? There's a cute scene in the last book involving that. :P
