TV Recap: It hasn’t weakened my belief as to why I’m here. It's made it stronger.

Nikita (s01ep11): All the Way **** Alex informs Nikita that Division is sending her on a final test to achieve agent status, where she'll have to kill or be killed. When Alex runs into problems on her mission, Nikita has to make a quick decision in order to try and clear Alex's name.

Back at Division, Birkhoff uncovers the shell program that a Division mole has been using to communicate with Nikita in the outside world. Meanwhile, Jayden tries to prove to Thom that Alex is the mole. How far is everyone willing to go for what they believe is right? All the way.

This episode felt more like a season finale, than a midseason finale. It was quite an awesome, action, and emotional episode from start to finish. Not sure if there are any other Nikita fans on the flist, but they need to come out now.
Alex: Sure. It’s a kill job. I have to waste someone or I get wasted myself.
If you've been around here long enough, then you know Alex is my favorite character. Her story of being stuck in Division, the people she meets, trying to keep her identity hidden, and still go through with missions gets my vote. This week she gets a kill mission that will elevate her to agent status. A mission that everyone wants, but also dreads. Alex is no different.
Thom: When you kill someone, they never die. You see their face everyday.
There are some awesome flashbacks as what we saw in the pilot where Nikita killed a guy for Alex starts to make sense. Alex has never killed anyone, and she doesn't want to start now. She literally can't handle the idea, but she knows it's kill or be killed by Division. She goes so far as to ask Thom what it's like to kill someone. His words are going to haunt her.
Percy: Even with all of the trouble you've caused, it still feels good to see you back where you belong.
Nikita: I never belonged here.
Percy: You were born here.
She goes on the mission and is of course unable to kill him, then Nikita saves her and the guy gets away. Thom ends up taking the kill shot, so she won't get in trouble. And Nikita ends up volunteering to be captured, again so Alex won't get in trouble. It seems like everything is going to hell.
Alex: You make it sound like you're my guardian angel.
Michael: In this op, I am.
I also loved the moments with Michael and Alex as he trained her for the kill, went on the mission with her, and even told her what to tell Division when she couldn't complete the kill. I'm not sure if doesn't believe Alex on how she 'captured' Nikita, but at the least he's mighty suspicious.
Nikita: Right now i’d be wondering about who’s gonna save you.
Amanda: She’s loose.
We also get to see Amanda again this week as they bring her in to interrogate Nikita. I like how they've sparingly used Amanda on the show, to make us afraid of her I suspect. It's working. Still, amusing to see her scurry off as Nikita gets breaks free. The females on this show really do kick ass. I highly enjoyed seeing Alex and Nikita work on kicking that guy's ass at the house. And then Nikita as she broke free from her chains? Epic.
Percy: If you're feeling sorry for him, don't. If he deceived you, then you were justified in taking him down. I need to know you believe that before I can move you to another level.
Alex: I know why he had to die. I know why I had to kill him. It hasn’t weakened my belief as to why I’m here. Or my commitment to my mission. It’s made it stronger.

Which brings me to the end. Oh, my poor Thom. I've actually pretty much known since early November he would die. I just didn't want it to be so. And even though I knew, it was still heartbreakingly sad for Thom, for Alex, for how she framed him as the mole, for what he now means to her and the mission.

Her resolve is strengthened and now she's an agent.  I didn't realize til the next day after watching it what Thom meant with his last words..."You'll be seeing me."

It's time to get prepared everyone for the next step in the series.
