Jon wasn't sure what to expect.

He'd approached the stairs cautiously that morning, Ghost following at his heels with his nose to the ground. He kept his cloak on-and most of his heavy winter clothing.

Best to be prepared for anything.

Sharpe is ready and waiting, greeting him with a smile.

"You ready, lad?"

Jon nods, "-I wasn't sure what sort of weather your world would have my-ser." Jon gestures to his cloak, "-Used to snow."

"It'll do. It's early summer, but that's no guarantee it won't be cold. Better too many clothes than not enough."

Jon nods, "Ghost-follow."

It wouldn't be wrong to say that he's eager.

"-What will I do today my lord?"

"We can decide that when we get there. See what there is to be done today."

And Sharpe leads him through the bar and out the front door.

Jon follows, a bit unsure of what to expect.

Sharpe's barn isn't what Jon's used to-so he might be staring. Typically only inns are made of wood like this-no stone! Not to mention no castle keep-and no sounds of Sharpe's other servants.

At least, so far.

Ghost for his part scampers a few feet ahead sniffing. A new place..

Sharpe has no other servants, except the girl who comes in to help Lucille.

The yard is dusty, with chickens pecking around, the house well-kept but not hugely big.

The overall impression is of petty aristocracy, and none too rich.
