One-On-One
Well, I did the first 'One-On-One' today as part of the 'Bounce Into Action' thing....
After getting the usual Pleasantries out of the way, I started telling her that I didn't think I needed this Course, and why
Just as well that I did so, as she didn't even know that I was getting Counselling....which....as my next Session falls on the same day as one of the 'Bounce' Sessions, then there's a distinct lack of Communication there
Captain, Road Prison 36: What we got here is... failure to communicate.
I even asked my Case Manager on Monday whether I needed to tell this Presenter about my Counselling Sessions, he said that it would be on the Calendar anyway, so, no
When I mentioned that much to this Presenter, she just said, "Why would I be seeing your Appointments?"
Clearly she didn't think of the Generic Appointment Calendar on the Computer
Anyway, she knows about my next one now, but, if this is any example, I'm going to need to tell her about future ones as well, as obviously, no-body else is going to....
All that aside, we sat down and discussed what might potentially be suitable Jobs for me, and what hurdles there might be in getting them, which is when I gave her a bit of Information about some of my....'Issues'
She was understanding about it, and gave me the impression that I could talk openly to her about them, which in itself was something, so, in that at least, I guess that, if I need....not so much additional Counselling, but at least someone to just *talk* to, I can do so with her during the 'One-On-One'
Incidently....she actually asked me why I felt the need to have Counselling more than once a fortnight, as my current Scheduling for that would seem to reflect, which is why I felt compelled to actually explain a few of my....'Issues'
In the end, though....without her actually saying so in so many words, she tried to make it pretty clear that I had no choice but to finish this 'Bounce' thing
She even told me that a couple of the other people in this one were starting to look for a Job already
I felt like telling her, "Yeah, that's because they feel that this is a complete waste of time and just want to get out of it as soon as possible"
Be that as it may....if the guy that was there on Monday was any example....whether we get a Job or not, if we don't actually complete this thing, we'll still have to keep coming back until we do so
