Entrance v Exit

Oct 31, 2009 11:33

Just got back a little while ago from doing some Shopping at Woolies....

Tell me....what is it with people that insist on Entering through an Obvious Exit....especially one that actually has A QUEUE OF PEOPLE waiting to be Served at The Check-Out??

Are people just Naturally Stupid, or just Too Lazy to go to The Entrance....even when it's merely a few Metres away (in this case, literally, as The Entrance was just past the next Check-Out)??

As I was being Served, it was twice that people came in through that area....either because they didn't see The Entrance, or were just Too Lazy to walk an extra few Metres to where The Entrance was

With the second such instance, I said to the guy, "The Entrance is over there, actually", to which he just said, "Cool", as he continued on his way past myself and the others in that VERY NARROW area

I'm sure he too would be Annoyed if I did that to him in the same Situation

Yes, I've been Guilty of this type of thing myself, but *only* when that area was empty, and *never* when there's been people there waiting to be Served

I am Reminded of that old Line in various Movies...."Cover all the Exits"

It seems , then, that that way of Thinking doesn't do any real good, as, if people can Enter through an Exit, what's to stop them from Exiting through an Entrance? :-p

supermarkets, shopping
