I may not have accomplished everything I intended for the weekend, but all in all it was good. Friday night hung out with my school friends. One of the girls, Katie, had us all over her house for bored games and drinking. There was more drinking than games however. On my way into her house I slipped on a patch of ice in the street. My hands were full, I fell to my right and in my right hand was my bottle of Reisling. Instead of dropping the bottle I broke my fall with the back of my hand while craddling the bottle to my chest. I tore up my hand, but saved the wine which may not have been then smartest choice. The Resiling was delicious though and I stand by my decision.
Saturday afternoon I hung out with Rob for a couple hours, studied a little Chinese, and then went to hang out with my friend Megen (a girl I used a go to school with a while ago) that night.
Sunday I went shopping and bought my digital camera, but was unable to find a coat or my boots. I went to hang out with my parents after that for a few hours. My intention had been to go home after that for a while and then leave for a party I was going to but I stayed later than I intended so just left from my parent's house. The party was being thrown by a guy named Ken who is one of the kids in my class that is going to China. He had invited the whole class to this party he was having with the intention of having everyone togeather to get aquanted before the trip. However, I was the only one from the class that showed up. So it was Ken, 6 of his friends, and myself hanging out. His friends were nice though and I ended up getting along with everyone. It turns out Ken has a gym where he teaches martial arts, a style he has created which is a mix of selot, kali, and a little bit of kung fu. He invited me to come start his class in April, which I think will be a lot of fun.
I realized that I spent the last three nights hanging out with people from school. It's odd because just 6 months ago I could have honestly said that I had never made any friends at school. There have been people I got along with but none that I had hung out with outside of class more than once or twice. Now I have all kinds of school friends, very weird.
