Go Blonde and the Political Circus
Due to work and the fact that familial relations are still somewhat...strained... I missed the Go Blonde parade in Riga again this year but I'm sure Andrejs will be sending photos of the march along the Daugava whether I want them or not. Here's hoping it was a magnificent success as last year saw enough proceeds to build some much needed playgrounds for those with disabilities. In the spirit of the event, I at least tried to wear a substantial amount of pink this past Saturday and donate through the organization's website it...admittedly wasn't much.
The even is... a nice distraction from the upcoming re-election in parliament at least. I really can't say for certain if I agree with the calls for the dissolution of the Saeima but then...well, perhaps it would be for the best. Being abroad for so long tends to numb the effects of political affairs across the Atlantic...
I guess in general I've just been so distracted I've lost touch with everyone again.
Berwald I ah... I hope you're alright. Sindre, I tried to visit you in the hospital but the nurses wouldn't let me in past visiting hours. I-if you wouldn't mind... I'd like to send over some pastries or if you wanted something else I'll do my best to get it to you in a timely manner.
And Alpha, just because I've been busy doesn't mean I haven't forgotten about mini-deadlines. IM me as soon as possible, alright?
