Stop tying your dogs to the post outside the shelter and leaving them there all night in the rain!

For fuck's sake!

It's bad enough that I'm on animal reclaiming no amount of protective gear in the world guards from cat claws. I'm not mad at the cats. They can't help being terrified. I'm mad at their so-called owners.

Who would leave their dog chained out in the rain? I mean, they're not going to melt out there, but that's horrible!

I'm glad we always bring our puppy inside when it starts to rain.

They didn't even bother bringing the dog in to give up. It's just the same as abandonment.

Is there any way they can be reported?

The dog wasn't chipped, we don't know who it belongs to. We wanted to check for innoculations but he's too sick to disturb like that.

Poor thing. I hope he gets better.

People should have to pass a test before they can own pets.

Or have children. I think that with some of the kids I work with, being at school is the only attention they get all day.

I would be surprised but people are amazing at just tuning out what they don't want to see. It doesn't surprise me one bit.

It's pretty blatant with these kids. Since I assist with mentally and physically handicapped ones, and especially if the family has another "normal" child, they get neglected because they're not perfect.

There should be a test before people can be parents. Definitely. Especially considering all the good parents that can't have children.

It's depressing, and a lot of these people have problems adopting because of all the red tape. We put so many holds on adoption, why can't we put the same ones on having a kid?

My parents have been trying to adopt for years. Something always falls through.

Well... that's life. Unfortunately.

Doesn't mean we have to like or accept it. Things can change.

Not really.

What happened to abandoned animals before shelters?
