Well guess what?

So here is an interesting story that has a great ending....Wayne ended up not having to work on Tuesday I think it was so he called me and asked if I wanted to go see a movie. Well, since I do nothing except clean nowadays, my schedule is pretty free....so I jump in the car and head to Jupiter. We are walking up to the theatre, when I see a store called The Preppy Puppy. There are the most precious little puppies, and I drag him in there. I have missed having a dog ever since my little Katie died about 4 years ago and Wayne loves dogs too, and has been thinking of getting one. Well, I start freaking out and half jokingly say "Can we get a puppy????????". He surprises me and actually says, well, if we are going to get a puppy lets go to an animal shelter or something. I am like floored that he is serious, and I put down the 600 dollar puppy and we leave the store and say screw the movies and spend the entire day going from city to city looking at different animal shelters in search of a puppy. We didn't find any that day though because all of the dogs in the animal shelters were either pit bull mixes which make me a bit wary (I know some of them are good, but they are known for being unpredictable and I just don't want to take that chance) or they were too big. He doesn't have a yard, he lives in a townhouse so it had to be kinda small. So we were disappointed that none of the animal shelters had what we wanted, so the next day we started calling pet stores. To make a long story slightly less long, we ended up getting a papillion (purebred). I had never heard of them before, but they are so cute. It cost us a grand....yes, 1000 dollars. Actually, it didn't cost me anything but the cost of the pet supplies. He is about 2 lbs and 11 weeks old. He won't get over 4 lbs when he is fully grown. He is smaller than a cat, has fluffy furry, SOFT hair, and best of all.

He has the cutest big floppy ears.

If any of you have seen the movie Gremlins, he looks almost exactly like Gizmo. Hence our thought processes in naming him Gizmo...that's his name if he's in trouble....his nickname is Gizzy or Gizzy Goo. He's so cute and SUCH a people person that he whimpers if you leave him in a room by himself. he loves to snuggle and sleeps with us in bed....probably not a good idea, but he is so good and knows not to go to the bathroom in it.

Today we are about to go to Pet Supermarket, where we can take Gizzy in there....I'm so excited, I miss the little furball already and I have only been away from him for a night.

Wayne's house needed something to spice it up, it needed something to love and now this little puppy has completely changed the whole atmosphere of his house and has completely brought us closer together. It's like he's our kid or something. We can take him anywhere with us, he fits in my purse ( yes he can be a purse dog! hahah)

Anyway, gotta get in the shower, bout to head down there and see my baby. Adios. (haha, I was talkin' about the dog)
