Mild Character Musing

Arden- His second incarnation. His first was pretty lackluster, to be honest. And I didn't expect much of him at first, hence why I half-assed his app >_> But as time went on the character grew on me, and apparently on other people. I didn't expect him to be so different than he had been at first. I didn't expect to play out any sort of relationship with him at all. I didn't expect for hi mto have any other emotions besides :| and :|~
In other words, Arden's just kinda escaped me and developed his own little universe and I'm playing catch-up. Not that I don't like it. It's actually enjoyable to sit here and look at a character develop, watching his flaws and his strengths become more and more apparent, watching them make him and break him all at once. Still don't quite know where he's heading, but I never expected him to get as far as he has.
Joseph- Both the easiest and hardest character to write. He's in about his 12893718934738123th incarnation. When I created him for Midgard I honestly had no clue what to do with him. In a lot of ways I still don't. The thing with Christine was sort of spontaneous, but it stuck, and as his personality kept developing he kept getting away from me. I've told a couple of people I don't know if Joseph's simply that good an actor of if he's schizophrenic, because he has a specific way of talking to specific people.
The whole getting-Joseph-exiled thing made me HAPPY though. I'd been wanting this to be an outcome for a while and I'm happy to have the opportunity to take him the fuck out the spotlight. I honestly didn't like him where he was. Not sure where this is going, really, but it'll sure as hell bring him back to basics, and I like that.
Sigurd- Swishy2, what ever will I do with you? Sigh. I like him. In fact I ADORE him. But I just can't really bring the muse t obear. I don't want him to end up like Jackie did. So I'll keep trying.

This year I've been busy!
Last Sunday I bought porn for daidoji_gisei (-10 points). In October I helped nineleigh hide a body (-173 points). Last month I bought porn for faeried (10 points). Last Wednesday I punched landra_draconis in the arm (-10 points). Last Saturday I put gum in hyujin's hair (-12 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-195 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!
