The Teddy Bears go on a picnic.
Well last night I was thinking since I'm going to Virgina it might be a lil chilly around November and being from Southern California I really don't have any cold weather cute items (I did however see an awesome coat at H&M that I will be purchasing lol... it reminds me of Sherlock Holmes) so I decided to start thinking of something to make (along with all my other things on my list to sew...) and I figured I should do a capelet since its 1) cute looking, 2) not as warm as a jacket, 3) easy enough to carry around, and 4) something I can't really find in a regular store ^_^. So far this is my mock up. I didn't have a pattern or anything to base it off so it may not be the best but I can honestly say I made it 100% myself.
So please excuse my extra messy room (I was cutting and sewing ont he floor and everything else just got pushed everywhere lol. As you can see right now it looks bad lol but trust me it should look cuter once its closer to completion. My fabrics are going to be black velvet, either a black silk or satin (the bridal kind since its not as shiny) for the bow, and white faux fur for the hood or black faux fur but I have a ton of white fur left over from a project I never got around to doing so I may just use that instead of spending more money on fabric :-p! I'm also thinking of adding a detachable pearl strand under the bow. Lol I feel like lil red riding hood. I really hope this comes out well.
