standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona....

Jan 30, 2010 19:46

actually, it was a corner in a modest sized town in Merced County, California...(grin)

It's only taken me 4 weeks to be able to try to "take it easy"

the high/low lights...

packed up a bunch of ISO/BOE paperwork/Bill Holbrook Store stuff and hightailed it to Linda's Stamp Shoppe  (Agnews Post Office).
played phone tag with Bro on several projects...
rented another Weeniemobile because I want to get my car checked out before tackling 152 again.  Made rep wince.
Went to Weird Stuff and picked up some stuff for the charming and esteemed TFD.  (TFD and GMLD are cut out of the same stock)
Sonic.  Good.  Want repeat performance.  Waistline doesn't, so will go LALALALALA as I drive past...
Spent a couple of hours with Bro and Scrapbook Senora on those projects and chatting briefly with TFD.
Explained a math problem to Hello Kitty Junkie
Ogled Bro's assortment of 240Z fu--can't believe it's been 20 years since the first one was procured.
Enjoyed the lovely weather that I plan on enjoying tomorrow in the Weeniemobile.
Full moon rising means that the San Luis Reservoir is going to be equally as lovely.
Starbucks service gets a C, but the music gets an A.

Unlike what's on the radio between the Central Valley and Santa Clara.  Over the years, I've gotten good at punching buttons/scanning...even with satellite radio...

"there's an earring in her drink"...punch
"the lord loves you sinners"...punch
"muzak version of "Easy like Sunday Morning"...PUNCH
"college sports from god knows where"...punch
ahhh, cheap beer at a Fresno bar with the best Kareoke!  Nah, I'll pass...punch
"thumpa thumpa thumpa"....CLICK OFF...

so, I think I'll try my thoughts on the way home...or maybe KGO won't fade in and out....

stay warm tonight, folks...
