Last weekend with pictures
Eeek! It is already Friday! I suppose I should post about last weekend before I go out and create another wonderful postworthy weekend.
Saturday was a very nice day.
Claire came to visit us and stayed the night Friday night. In the morning Katrina, Michelle, Claire and I went garage sale-ing. We could only find 3 garage sales, but they were all good ones and we all came home with armfuls of neato loot for amazingly little money. After the garage sales we went out to lunch at the Junkyard Bistro where we ate yummy food and talked and laughed and made faces at each other. (We tend to do that a lot)
After lunch I did a little housework while Katrina napped than Katrina, Claire and I drove to Twin Creeks and hiked "The Two Bog Trail"
I have no idea what the actual name of that trail is. I named it the two bog trail because there are 2 mucky boggy areas near the trailhead. These tend to discourage sane hikers, so I usually have the trail to myself. Here are some more random pictures of the hike:
We walked through bogs...
And on logs. (like and Egyptian)
Where the trail was rocky (and we were cocky)
And overgrown (Ain't they cute?)
We played where nature was icy...
And twisted...
And gettin twiggy wit it. (Some sort of tree disease where masses of twigs grew together on top of more twigs and out of more twigs)
And cute (Mamma Bargrass and Pappa Beargrass growing by a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G)
HUCKLEBERRIES!!!!!! (the only ripe...ish ones we saw)
