Sherlock Convention Question!

Aug 06, 2012 21:29

Okay, folks, this has been a rough and tumbled ride and it just got more rough and tumbled.

The latest is that after a month of not replying to my emails I finally got word from the theater, only for them to tell me that they are not only booked on September 22nd, but are pretty much booked through till Thanksgiving weekend. So we have the following options.

If we are willing to split the convention into two days, we could have it on October 13th & 14th (Sat & Sun) from 10-5pm or so each day. The upside of this is that we don’t have to cram everything into one day and there can be more interesting panels and just socializing time. I know for some 4.5 hours of watching stuff in a theater is a lot of sitting and watching as well. There is also the option of spending the evenings doing something else somewhere else.

The other option, of course, is to wait until November or December, but that is a busy time of the year for most people and I’m leery of trying to do something then unless the majority of people interested in coming prefer that plan.

So please cast your vote below! Does splitting the event into a two day convention on October 13th & 14th work for you? Or would you prefer a single day convention in late November/early December?
