So apparently my brother Ted almost committed suicide yesterday. :(
He and his family had just returned from a trip to Switzerland, so I don't have any idea what pushed him over the edge. I do know he's been out of work and struggling with some very black moods for a while now and was seeing a therapist. I just got mail from his wife with the news, but it was sparse on the details of how and why, though I get the impression the police managed to find him before he actually tried to enact his plans. He's been hospitalized for his own safety and for a psychiatric evaluation. No idea what happens after that.
Prayers, well-wishes, good energy, and all that sort of thing pushed in his direction would be greatly appreciated.
