Finally! Europe! Hahaha!
We just flew from Newark International Airport in NJ last Sunday. First we arrived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and then in Frankfurt to meet our local hosts --- yup, real Europeans! I exchanged my money to Euros --- their bills are so small, but hey they are expensive.
We stayed in Gambach, Germany overnight then we left for Italy this morning.
The place is so beautiful. I really loved the Alps. I saw old towns, real castles, tasted European food, saw tall, green trees, tried sweet cannabis tea, used pay restrooms for 50 cents, bought few souvenirs, spoke and understood a bit German and Italian and many more!
Few days left and competition time in Gorizia, Italy!
Io voglio Italia tanto bene!
Me, my co'tenor ONeal and my our host family are watching a football game (World Cup 2006 Germany) between Italy and Germany. Vai Italia!
By the way, I forgot to post my entry here about my experience in New York. I saw the WTC memorial, rode in a metro, watched a broadway show entitled Hairspray, went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, walked the streets of New York,I saw the Times Square, I saw the Statue of Liberty, I saw the Empire State builidings. Of course I took pictures, but the memory card of my camera is full, I could not take a lot.
Bummer... Ciao!
Oh, Italy defeated Germany, 2-0. Too bad for our hosts there. Hihihi...
