The day before, Naima and I baked some "cup" cakes - literally, cakes in tiny cups. :P
We let them cool down for the night.
Until we found Steve (yep, she named him that) the Elf with Barbie having some tea time ...
Naima's reactions were not what we'd expect. The first night (
puzzling), she asked how that happened. Without any hesitation, she quickly put them into her toy box, and thought nothing of it since then.
Today's reaction, was a little anger towards Steve. She did think it was silly, and said: "What a funny elf!"
I think I'm enjoying setting Steve up. A LOT.
It's like she knows (or thinks) that the Elf does come alive at night, like it's nothing new, or unexpected. It's sweet, and funny at the same time.
I do have to admit, I like keeping her innocence. I love that she still believes in magic, especially around Christmas. It's fun, it's adorable, and I am happy with it.
I wish I had the childhood she has. I'm glad she doesn't know what the majority of girls her age know. Makeup, Bieber, trendy clothes, etc - The girls I see now that are her age, disgust me. Mini skirts, makeup, the works. They look like mini teenagers, and that bothers me so much.
