Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre
I have to say, today we had quite the experience at this place. Their entrance part of it, was outstanding in our books.
It's nice to have this on the island instead of having to travel with two kids on a hour and a half long ferry ride + 45mins drive to the bigger aquarium in BC. No offense to Vancouverites, I do love the city, just not when our pockets are tight. Plus, kids automatically get an annual pass! How incredible (and generous) is that?!
Not only is it local, but it is located in one of my favourite towns. Sidney to me, is like Qualicum Beach but fancier. I wouldn't mind living there! What can I say, I am certainly a coastal gal ;-) - I LOVE living by the ocean.
ps: After we had entered their gift shop, we felt like having sushi for lunch ... apparently we weren't the only ones! There were other people asking for a good sushi place in town. (Funny how an aquarium makes you crave sushi :P)
