Update Of My Week, errrr, I mean last weekend....ok, im not sure exactly from when but here goes!!:
Ok so sorry if I haven't updated in a long while, been sorta busy, but not anymore so here's what's been going on without all the details:
Friday May 20th: The night before my mum called me and asked me if I can come to Vic for the weekend to visit and also asked me if I could stay till Tuesday, she said because she has a surprise for me, which I found out anyways that she was throwing me my first baby shower. I said sure. So she and my dad came and picked me up at around 9ish.
Saturday May 21rst: I was in Vic, and met up with an old friend (Javiera, who's visiting from Montreal. We went downtown and hung out for about 2hrs. She couldn't believe how big and preggy I was, she kept touching my belly to feel the baby move, but Baby bear never did :P Then we had to go back to her house cuz my mum was going to pick me up from there, and then we would go and drop off invitations for my baby shower. So we did so, but we didn't find everyone. Some of them were away for the weekend, others had to work...Didn't matter cuz my sis-in law is throwing me one in Parksville in mid-June. Got to my parents house and my dad's business friends were there. Bernadine [who is my dad's accountant, seemed very nice] and Art [Bernadine's husband who works with my dad]. My mum also invited Bernadine to the baby shower.
Sunday May 22nd: Mum and I went out to get stuff for the baby shower and for the BBQ we were having at their house. We got decoration and little figurines of babies that are a message holder [I'll post up pics to show u asap] for the guests to take home and have them as a souvenir. Ballons, etc
Had the BBQ with the business couple, it was fun, food was awesome. But the BBQ started at 2 and they FINALLY left at 10 PM!! I mean, holy crap, they would not leave...I don't know what the hell they were waiting for...
Monday May 23rd: BABY SHOWER TONIGHT AT 6 PM!! I was soooooo excited for this day, even though not that many people showed up, only like 5, but it was perfect cuz they were the closests friends me and my mum had. Leanne [leedlebobeedle], Jenn [jcosto7] and Clare [piercing_maniac] couldn't make it, but they said they would try for the one in Parksville, hopefully they will.
Anywho, so my mummy and I started getting the food ready, we didn't have much but we had some ideas and they all worked! People showed up at around 7ish [latin people are always late :P ]
People that were there:
•Irene (my mummy's friend and sorta an aunt to me)
•Javiera (Irene's daughter and long time friend since we were in diapers, visiting from Montreal)
•Angelica (friend and daughter in law of Irene) and her baby girl Anaya (she's 2 yrs old)
Sara (who's also daughter in law of Irene) was also suposta show up, we called her and she needed a ride, so we called Irene's son to go get her. She's also preggy and due this weekend, so I can hear from anytime now! SOoooo exciting! I'm jealous though, she gets her baby first :P She's having a lil' girl!
She finally showed up and had the cutest top ever. I remember seeing her when she was 5 months preggy and had nothing whatsoever to show, now she looked pregnant.
We ate, had my fav wine! [Carlos Rossi, California Rose] It is sooo good! Then opened up prezzies! teehee!! I got a baby bouncer, goodies [lotions, diaper rash cream] for Baby, baby clothes, and plushed bunny rabbot that when you squeeze the left foot, it prays! Sooo adorable!
Then, Miss Bernadine had a game, well sorta, we did some 'old wives tales' stuff, she had a pendant and hung it over my belly and pointed out that it's going to be a boy. Then she had this other thing where she hung the pendant over the forarm and it would tell you how many kids you'll have and what gender they'll be too. She did it to my mum, and HOLY CRAP! It worked! Even to Irene it worked. It said to me that I was going to have 3 older boys and one younger girl, kinda like my mum but the other way...see, I'm the oldest and the only girl, and I have 3 younger brothers! Weird huh?
*Sighs* I had soooo much fun and I Looove the shower my mummy threw me! :) I thank her alot, she tried her best to get everyone there, but it wasn't her fault.
Tuesday May 24th: I was by myself all morning, since everyone had to work and go to school. My mum said that she was going to drop me off at around 4:30ish and that my lil' bro Alex was coming along too. So we left at 4:30ish, and the traffic was terrible! We got to Parksville at around 6:30, parked in the driveway, just as Gavin was going threw the door. He got sooo happy to see me :P
My mum had to leave right away. Got home, and Gavin cleaned the whole house, I was like "holy crap!" That was so sweet of him. We had our first prenatal classes at 7, so we left right away. Got there and there were about 6 or 7 couple, some came with their mothers and others on their own, I felt bad for the one girl, who looked like she was 14 or 15 yrs old...Even Sara and Mike showed up [our friends], they're first time parents too. The class was awesome, but I didn't expect that they would show a birth video on the first class! Gav was shocked and I thought that he was totally gonna faint, but he kept very calm and watched the whole thing. And believe you me, it was very graphic! I was proud of him, of course the lady that was in the video was not scream her head out or beating up the husband, but they showed the baby come out, it was emotional for me when they placed the baby on the mother's chest... :( I want my baby!!!
Wednesday May 25th: Nay took Gav and I to Costco to go grocery shopping. We spent less than we expect and believe me the cart was freakin' full!! But we didn't get everything we needed, which we will this weekend anyway.
Thursday May 26th: I called Sarah at 11ish am, to see if she was still up for shopping! She came and picked me up at around 12:15. We went to Nanaimo, and shopped our asses off! :P I got 2 new tank tops [THAT FIT ME NOW] both for $15, and capris pants for $18, I also got a little something for Gav, just so I won't feel bad. I got him new board shorts, and I was worried that he may not like them. Then we had a break for lunch and of course there's always room for ice cream :D [Dairy Queen's Peanut Buster parfait! Yummmmmm!!!] Everywhere we went, sales chicks kept asking us when we're due and cute stuff like that :P haha
We even got free ice cream! Haha!
I had fun, we talked about going swimming sometime, I sooooooo wanna go swimming!
Well girls, that's my week so far, today nothing important planned, its freakin' hot out!! And I'm gonna go for a nice walk on the beach when hubby to be gets home :)
Hope you all enjoy your weekend! I know I will. We might go down to the lake on saturday with Gav's cousin Shawn, he wants to go wake-boarding, so Im guessing we'll be taking uncle Ken's boat for the day. Sweeeet, sun tanning on the boat! w00h00!
