*****CAPACITY*****
For cocktail scenarios, The Foundry can hold up to 200 guests in the space. The Foundry can also accommodate 125 guests for a seated or buffet dinner, utilizing both the ground and mezzanine levels. The ground floor holds up to 80 guests with a dance floor, while the mezzanine level can seat 32-50 guests depending on table configuration. If your guest list exceeds this number, we recommend taking advantage of our courtyard for your dinner.
There is no minimum guest number required to book the space. The maximum capacity for guests is 200.
*****THE COURTYARD*****
The Foundry's courtyard is a ideal setting for cocktails, dinner, or even a ceremony. The rental rate for the courtyard is based on size, and does not vary by day or season. Use of the courtyard is available Friday-Sunday only. The courtyard can only be rented in conjunction with The Foundry. It cannot be rented without The Foundry. Please be sure to visit our Images page on our website for photos.
30'x45' - $1,500
Accommodates up to 100 guests for dinner, or 150 for cocktails.
30'x60' - $1,500
Accommodates up to 165 guests for dinner, or 200 for cocktails.
30'x75' - $2,000
Accommodates up to 200 guests for dinner or cocktails.
You have the option of erecting a tent over the courtyard area, or leaving the area exposed. The Foundry will coordinate the tent rental for you if you choose this option. Please note that the rental rates above do not include the tent rental.
*****TENTS*****
If you should choose to cover The Courtyard with a tent, The Foundry will coordinate the reservation and delivery of your customized tent. Rates for tents vary depending on a number of factors such as size, style, delivery and additional features such as heaters or fans. Tents are not recommended during winter months from the end of December to the end of March. Approximate costs for the tents including the main structure, adjustable side walls, dimmer lighting, delivery, set up and removal are:

*****THE FOUNDRY TERRACE*****
The Foundry Terrace is an outdoor elevated terrace adjacent to The Foundry’s mezzanine level. The area can accommodate up to 65 guests for cocktails. It features views of the Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan. Rental is $1,000. Please note there is only stair access at this time.
*****KITCHEN*****
We at The Foundry pride ourselves on our 1,500 sq. ft. industrial kitchen featuring a top of the line Viking range with convection capabilities, proofing ovens, industrial & residential refrigerators, cavity freezer and plenty of prep space. The kitchen rental and the equipment inside it is already included in the space rental fee.
*****RENTAL USAGE*****
The Foundry is a raw space. The rental of the Foundry includes the space (interior alone, or interior and courtyard together, depending on how you choose to use the space), our industrial kitchen space and 3 staff personnel onsite for your event (see description below). You bring in your caterer and table/chair rental separately. The Foundry is happy to provide recommendations for caterers, table and chair rentals, florists, DJ's, musicians etc. who all know our space and have worked here before, or you are welcome to bring in outside vendors (except tent vendor).
*****STAFF*****
The rental rate includes the presence of 3 Foundry staff members for the duration of every event. A security person is stationed on the street during the course of the event to monitor parked cars. A doorman will be stationed at the main entrance to greet your guests and assist with any questions, while a manager will be monitoring the event in The Foundry to ensure everything is operating smoothly and comfortably.
*****TIMING*****
The rental rate guarantees you 12 hours. These 12 hours should cover your setup time, the event itself, and the breakdown.
The Foundry's guest curfew is 12:30 A.M. Caterers and/or any other vendor are permitted to breakdown and remove their equipment until 2:00 A.M. If you wish to extend the guest curfew past 12:30 A.M., an overtime rate of $1,000/hour will be incurred.
*****RENTALS*****
Catering, tables, chairs, linens, dishware, glassware and is not included in the rental of The Foundry. Please also note that tent rental is NOT included. Typically, a caterer will organize the rental of dinner tables, chairs, etc. for your event.

*****LIGHTING******
The Foundry is equipped with ambient lighting throughout the space, set on seperate dimmers. Lighting in the courtyard includes two sconces mounted on either side of the courtyard doors, as well as several spotlights placed around the perimeter. Bringing in an outside lighting company is not neccessary, but we are happy to provide recommendations if additional lighting is desired.
*****PARKING & TRANSPORTATION*****
The Foundry offers abundant street parking evenings and weekends. 30 vehicles can park on 9th Street alone, with plenty of parking around the corner on 43rd Avenue.
Contact information for car services are available for your guests. The Foundry is easily accessible from the 59th Street/Queensboro Bridge.

*****BOOKING A DATE FOR YOUR EVENT*****
A 50% deposit of the rental fee is required to secure a date for your event. The Foundry can accept personal or certified checks, money orders, and/or cash. We do not accept credit cards.
*****HOLDING DATES*****
At no charge, The Foundry can reserve a dates for you as a “notification hold”. This hold entails placing your name and contact information on a date for 7 days from the time you first notify us that you would like to hold a date.
The courtesy of this hold is that we will not book the date with another client during that 7 day period without notifying your first, and giving you the option to book the date and give us a deposit. If another client makes a hard offer to put down a deposit, you will have 24 hours to book or release the date. Even if no other client offers a hard deposit, the hold is released after 7 days.
*****CANCELLATION POLICY*****
If you should happen to cancel your event with The Foundry 6 months prior to the date of the event, a cancellation fee of $500 will be charged. If your event is cancelled 2-4 months prior to the event date, the cancellation fee is $1,500. If your event is cancelled less than 2 months prior to the event date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total rental fee.
