A New Brain
Today a guy comes in to the library.
I say “May I help you”
He says “Yeah, I need a new brain”
I think he’s just kidding with me so I say “Sorry, if we had any of those I’d have taken it, cause I need one too” (beat) “So can I get you some thing”
He says “Yeah, I need a new brain”
(now I’m beginning to worry about the guy, sure is persistent!)
“We don’t have brains here, can I get you a book”
“Yeah, I need A New Brain… it’s a musical”
“Oh… um… yeah, got it right here”
I was a bit embarrassed and I’m sure he thinks I’ve got a screw loose, but, oh well; it’s funny looking back on it.
