Sick Sick Sick....I bought a house today....Made probation at my job and....Rodolfo Rocks!
Well I have been sick as can be today. My lungs hurt, throat is sore and a gross but thank God productive cough. Rodolfo's kindness continues to amaze me. He went to the store tonight and got the fixings for Oregano tea with limones, honey and bouganvilia flowers. It was wonderful and I felt a lot better afterwards. He also brought me cough syrup and orange juice and then made sure that I had Eucalyptus on my chest and back so I could breathe better while I sleep. It felt so nice. I will sleep easier!
The sellers of the creole cottage in downtown accepted my offer so for about next to nothing down I got a 2 bdrm 1 bth with office 1200 square foot creole cottage with huge front porch for 61,000 dollars. Providing the inspection is good I should be in the house on or before April 24th with lower payments than for my 1 bedroom apartment. I'm going to fix it up over time and its going to be beautiful. I can't believe I'm going to be a homeowner.....something that was never possible in California. In California this house would go for 600,000 easy! Now I'll I need is my one red room, my chihuahua and my garden and I'm set. Did I mention that this place is only 5 blocks from my job and only 1000 meters to the international brindge? How cool is that?!!
In addition I made permanent employee status in my job. Woohoo! Can't beat that.
