Slept in this morning, and I am tempted to stay in my pajamas all day. Just because I can. I've been having a problem with my neck, although it's better today than yesterday. One of my mom's cousins said when she was in Alaska she had the same symptoms and it turned out to be a potassium deficiency. So.... hmm. I have no bananas. What else has potassium that I can eat? Time to google it!

Work has been busy but mostly good. We had a spaghetti feed/silent basket auction this week, which I helped with a little by donating a gift card, wrapping a couple baskets and then just coming to support. I won a Christmas themed basket. Pretty sure I am not going to resist decorating for Christmas any longer, after the cute decorations I got from it. Then Crystal and I rushed over to our HOA meeting and caught the last half. Mostly talking about the rising price of heating and how it's going to make our dues go up. Some lady saying she heard that airplanes flying overhead could make your garage door go up?! The HOA has been having issues getting caught up on its water bill and stuff. Oh the joys of living in a condo.

It's been too cold (-30ish) to let the kids play outside for recess. I am really looking forward to when this cold snap passes for at least a little break and they can go outside again. They seem to get cabin fever being stuck inside for too long. I've been getting a lot of kudos for continuing to walk to school (Rose and I and the kids) because most people here will drive, even if they are right next to the place they are going. The air pollution here is so bad right now, I think I dislike that more than the cold.

Next Tuesday I am helping Anja's class make a pie! The funny thing is, I have never made one myself. And then a couple days later I am also bringing one to our Thanksgiving get-together. Along with green bean casserole and a fruit tray. So next week is going to be a big baking lesson I think. Complete with making my own crusts. I have an unused pumpkin that I'm going to bake & puree and use for the class' pie-making. For Thanksgiving I'm going to go with pecan. I've found what I hope are good, easy recipes. We'll see!
