Spring Break Pirate Extravaganza - Day One - Baseball and Bromeliads

Summary:  So, day one of the Spring Break Pirate Extravaganza is inescapably ending, no matter how hard we're trying to stop time. The day started with delicious coffee and a gorgeous sunrise at poolside.

After a leisurely lunch in Sarasota, we visited Marie Selby Gardens, famous for their orchid and bromeliad collections. Situated on Sarasota Bay, the gardens were a spectacular display of tropical flora and fauna.






























































No trip to the USA would be complete without America's Favorite Pastime - Baseball. The evening was spent cheering on the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays as they took on the Pittsburgh Pirates (who else) in a Spring Training Game.










The Rays won 6-4. Yeah!

Now, it's to bed, to sleep, for we have many more adventures planned. Keep a weather eye...
