Could he dare ask of Almighty God a miracle, to undo what lesser gods had wrought?
Could he believe, like Lazarus, the dead could be raised up once more, to walk among the living?
Could he allow himself to hope, with a faith he did not hold, and pray, to a god he did not know?
Yes, he could. And did.
And the waters parted, as of old, the watery tomb gave up her dead, and faith and hope and love all rushed with the sea and poured over them both, drenching them in dazzling glory.
He had risen. Amen.
