So this this generation of pokemon is equal parts awesome, good ideas that didn't work (usually overcomplicated) and wtfcolour. Most of the dragons are in the wtfcolour category but I'm not a huge dragons-as-a-type fan so w/e

MAN you have posted a lot I need to catch up. BUT THIS COMES FIRST.
I don't know what to think about this gen - I'm still too flabbergast to make up an opinion yet. Although two words do spring to mind: over-designed. I loved that pokemon designs were on the more simplist side - they kind of 'conserved lines', so to speak. This gen seems to have thrown that rule out of the window. Actually, many of them have a "Dragon Warrior Monsters" vibe going on, only there's no rainhawk, which makes it less cool.

Personally, I really like dragon no.1. I can see where you're coming from colour-wise, but the red+light green puts me in mind of a geko, so to me, it's awesome. But yeah, the others are incredibly ugly.

PENIS NOSE CANNOT UNSEE. Uuughhhh maybe it's just the angle and it won't be that bad. xD As for the ice cream pokemon - I kind of like that it evolves into a two scoop cone? xDDD I find that so funny for some reason. I don't mind the golem. It's nice enough. It does look like it's out of a different videogame, yeah... I want to see its face better! I think that'll be a deciding factor. :D

Dragon 1 actually has a quite nice design EXCEPT FOR THE COLOURS. I like the axe head and the vertabrae armour but egads the colours. Awful. I'm hoping its shiny colours are an improvement!

mwahahaha burn suffer with me! You too will now be afflicted with penis vision! I'm sure it's just the angle, when his snout is up he'll just look like a burgundy alligator. I kinda like the ice cream's pre-evo/basic form, but yea, the rest is meh. Then again, some of the first gen pokes would make you go WFT? if they were released now instead, so I expect there to be a couple that are really odd.
Yeah, I don't mind the golem either, although I hear it's actually meant to be a haunted suit of armor? *shrugs* whatev.

Well yeah, that's a good enough reason to not like the dragon, I suppose. I'm interested to see it's shiny colours too, now that you mention it please don't be purple. What bothers me about the other dragons is that not only are they ugly as sin, they are going to be hell to beat as well. So, crap.

Hm, well if the armour is headless it could be a durahan? That'd be neat, I guess. Hard to tell in the sprite though.

Some of those actually look really fantastic. Some not so much yeah. BUT OTHERS. I'm liking smugline a lot more as shinies actually!

But yes, this gen is weird in that I actually like a lot of the shiny forms better that the regular. Usually the shiny colours suck.

I think they're getting better with the shiny colourations now that they know that appealing shiny = so much munz through pokemon cen promos. :P

ALSO OMG if you read the text in asami 1120's entries she says there's gonna be PT Teddiursa (November) and PT Lapras plush (December) af'jqas'jasfasdf! Big expensive ones like chikorita was argh but I think I might save for the Lapras come December if it looks good. It can be best buddies with my DX pokedoll!

I still wish they'd just made them the regular colours :/ I like the water monkey so much better shiny. And it's really only a subtle change! The leopards less gaudy as well.

BAHHH I can't keep up with that! Goddamm I might have to sell my fuzzy Rai at this rate. :( 'cause I mean, Lapras <3, right? I'm so screwed. Are you getting all the clearfiles?

Forunately my clearfile collection is concentrated on the "pattern" style clearfiles and the other ones (character+white background) I am pretty meh about. PHEW. Unless Gin is just not posting pics of the others and secretly there is moar clearfiles THEN I WILL ASPLODE

My current shopping list looks like the stickers and maybe a keychain if I feel like it. /shrug Oh, and the thermos. Kind of underwhelming actually but I am secretly relieved!

nawww, you're off the hook this time, that's all the clear-files. I've already claimed all the files and straps she has in her post, and that's costing me $260. Owies. I figure I'll go for all the stickers, the tumbler, a few notepads and the slow-bank. Than save save save for plush. Urgh. Now I feel like an idiot for collecting this stuff :O Oh yeah, and there are pens too.......bah. No pens - they're just plastic tubes with pictures on it.
I'm thinking that those clear-files would look great individually framed and hung on my wall though, esp. with all those different colours. X3

Framing clearfiles is a fantastic idea! Oh I am so doing that when I have all the pattern ones. 8D They'd be gorgeoussss!!

The phonestraps are so gorgeous and I LOVE that heracross got one (LOVEEE) but...$14 and not really fitting in my collections, idk. I guess it'd be really cool to shadow box frame the clearfiles and then have the straps displayed in the shadow box in front of the files if that makes sense? That'd be lovely.

That's a really cute idea 8) only problem is that the clear-files are actually just a bit larger than A4 (obviously, that's how they fit the A4 pages) which makes them rather difficult to find a frame for. You could matte them, but then they'd take up a lot more space. :/ I'm still going to figure it out somehow, I think. I just have so little wall space left is all!

Get the strap! Then I can totally steal the "bookmark" off you X3 plus they're so awesome. I love my strapahs.

I'm thinking some sort of giant grid matte/frame and the clearfiles could overlap each other behind the matte but you wouldn't see it. You'd just see cute squares of the individual patterns. idk if that's a very professional way to do it but it works for me! xD
