The dislocated finger is stubbornly refusing to heal. Some days it looks like it might be getting better, but then it swells again, and is still quite weak. Taping it to its neighbor keeps it from accidentally being pushed around, but that creates referred pain to my little finger. I just got the bill for the orthopedist. $200.01 for him to come in, tell me he had read the xray report (they no longer send the xrays, just the report of the reading by the xray specialist), and that I should take 800 milligram pain killers, even though I reported no pain, recommended taping it to prevent further injury, and that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to heal. Ten minutes and he was "outta there". The $.01 was for electronically sending the Rx to the pharmacy. You'll be glad to know that Medicare is watching its pennies: they don't pay for that. It didn't hurt when it happened, but it is now. No, I am not using the 800 ml ibuprofen, or even the 400 which he agreed to, since it will exacerbate the GERDS, and not mix well with the daily baby aspirin. So far, the 2 minute ice treatment works the best. Enough of this bitching. The jazz on the radio right now is cheerful enough to actually work an attitude check.
