Upcoming week/ Da List
School starts tomorrow morning. The Accountant is going to be in fourth grade. Scary, ain't it? He got the teacher we wanted AND his buddy is in his class for the third year straight which means I will spend lots of time with BuddyMama.
Groceries have been ordered. I decided that the batch of ginger I did last week is a total loss. I will be starting over with the simpler (and more successful) recipe now that I've located it. I love Joy of Cooking for baking, but for candy making they do seem to over-engineer things. I'm getting better results with the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook on the candy front.
So.... a special Da List for Ducal week

All of this works around settling Boy into the school routine. It's a lot for 4 days. Some of the phone calls may get put off and I will do only as much of the cooking as is reasonable.
